I love throwing Halloween parties for my kids, since they love planning out their costumes, dressing up and, of course, the candy. This year I'm throwing a small Halloween get-together. With a mix of planning, creativity and some fun recipe and food ideas anyone can throw a successful and inexpensive Halloween party. Here's what I have planned for this year's Halloween party!
To impress the kids, I’m making this Jack-O-Lantern Cheese Ball. It has a wow factor but it is an easy Halloween appetizer that I can prepare in advance. And if you are feeling creative, try a fun way to serve a trail or snack mix for the occasion.
For a hearty appetizer, I like these On-a-Stick Chicken Strips. You can serve them along side some ghoulish dipping sauces like: blood (ketchup), bug guts (honey mustard) and booger dip (guacamole). Just put a folded card in front of each dip with its creepy name and you are sure to get some funny reactions out of the kids.
Snackipicks has a lot of great recipe ideas for Halloween party desserts. For a fun party activity, I may let the kids make these Halloween Spider Stacks. They'll have fun making them but I may be in for a scary mess, since there is frosting involved.
To save a lot of money create your shopping list well in advance and shop for the ingredients you need when they go on sale.
Time Saving Bonus: Most of these Halloween recipe ideas I have shared with you can be created days in advance, giving you more time to really enjoy your Halloween party with your family, friends, and guests.
