Easter celebrations often bring to mind pastel color schemes and tricky dishes but I find that the simpler the celebration, the more fun our family has. Make this year your best ever Easter celebration and don't be afraid to switch it up a bit. Think bolder and simpler with your décor and your Easter recipes for a new twist on entertaining for Easter.
Nothing says warm and inviting like a table that is decorated sweetly and simply for your Easter celebration. If you typically stick to a pastel décor for your Easter table, try to switch your color scheme to something bolder. I love bold colors like rich blues and oranges to add a punch of color that can be a little unexpected.

Instead of running out to buy all new dinnerware for each occasion, layer small salad plates in bold patterns over white dishes that you may already have at home. Even plastic dinnerware plates can look elegant when nestled on top of elegant white dishes.

Candlelight adds elegance to any table, and so can a beautiful display of flowers. Stick to one bunch of flowers or several short flower arrangements so your guests don’t have to work around your flowers for conversation. Scatter dyed eggs down the center of your table or nestle them in bowls to tie in your Easter theme. I also love to display foods like cheeses, fruits, and crackers on cutting boards for a rustic touch.
Here are some simple Easter recipe ideas for your Sunday meal.
If you are hosting a Sunday brunch, I recommend serving a ham & swiss quiche or a gruyere and ham quiche with a simple strawberry spinach salad.
Instead of a traditional Easter lunch, try an easy and elegant spread of appetizers for a fun lunch. I like Smoked Salmon Pate, White Bean Dip With Toasted Pine Nuts, Hot & Spicy Crab Dip, and Shrimp Cocktail with Mustard Butter all served on a variety of Town House crackers for a fun and easy lunch option.
For a fun dinner spread serve your traditional ham and add our Creamy Mac & Cheese with Parmesan Crunch Topping and instead of the traditional deviled egg, make a deviled egg spread on top of your favorite Town House cracker.
Make this year's Easter celebration about new family traditions and remember to keep it simple so you can enjoy the holiday too. As with all holidays it’s the gathering of those you love around a kitchen table that brings a real celebration to life.
