Pizza Appetizer For Your Tailgate Party

It's tailgating season and you know what that means.....finger foods and party foods!  There is something about food that you can pick up with your fingers that makes it all the more fun to eat, right?  For your next tailgating party, I have got the perfect appetizer for you that I like to call Creamy Double Pepperoni Pizza-wiches.  This pizza appetizer is quick to prepare and no fuss to eat making it a winning recipe in our house for both parents and kids!

Pizza-Wich Ingredients

Here is your very simple line up of ingredients...Town House crackers, pizza sauce, pepperoni slices, mozzerella cheese and cream cheese.

To make, simply quarter the pepperoni slices. Then, mix the pizza sauce, quartered pepperoni slices and mozzerella cheese together to create the filling for your little sandwiches. Next, generiously spread that delicious creamy pizza filling on top of a buttery Town House cracker. Top with a pepperoni slice and another Town House cracker, and you've got a mouthwatering bite size snack great for any tailgating party!

Double Creamy Pepperoni Pizza-Wiches Recipe

Cream Cheese Pepperoni Pizza Recipe Idea

Ingredients 

  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 20 pepperoni slices, quartered
  • 48 whole pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup pizza or pasta sauce
  • 1 box Keebler Town House crackers

Directions

  • Place cream cheese, quartered pepperoni slices, mozzarella and pizza sauce into a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  • Place a couple tablespoonfuls of filling onto a Town House cracker, place a full pepperoni on top then close with another cracker to make a sandwich.
  • Continue filling until all of the filling is used up.

Makes 24 servings (1 serving = 2 cracker sandwiches)

Why do you need 48 whole pepperoni slices if you only use one per sandwich?
