Sweet + Savory Tailgate Party Appetizers and Snacks

I know tailgating season is upon us, because the neighborhood is abuzz with upcoming football games and tailgates. My husband is a huge college football fan so we tend to entertain a lot this time of year and I’m always trying to think of fun new appetizers and sweets to serve our guests at tailgate parties throughout the season.

Savory Tailgate Appetizers

Everyone loves a good party platter, and this year I’m going to give mine a bit of a twist by serving Town House Flipsides Pretzel Crackers in a cone with guacamole dip! Other great combinations you could serve are Italian Herb Flatbread Crisps with fresh salsa or Flipsides Pretzel Crackers with queso.

You can find wire cone stands at your local kitchen supply store, along with food-safe paper liners. And I used silicone baking cups for my guacamole dip, but mini paper baking cups can work great too!

Sweet Tailgate Snacks

I always serve something sweet to go with my savory appetizers, like these easy football brownies. I baked these and quickly piped on lines for the football threads. If you’re in a hurry you can buy brownies at your local bakery and trim out the football shape from each square. If your kiddos are anything like mine, they won’t mind taking care of the edges for you!
Icing Tip: There is no need for fancy piping bags. Simply spoon the icing into a resealable bag and snip a small hole in one corner.
