3 Simple Memorial Day Party Recipes

My grandfather and many members of my husband’s family served in the military, so as you might imagine, patriotic holidays like Memorial Day hold a special place in our hearts. On patriotic holidays, we as Americans tend to celebrate loved ones through sharing good food. This year I’ll be remembering those who have sacrificed so much for our country with our traditional family backyard picnic and Memorial Day recipes.

Here are some of the Yummy Recipes I plan to serve at our Memorial Day Picnic.

All of these Memorial Day recipes using Tastefully Simple products are super easy to put together and take very little prep time, giving you more time to spend with your family and friends and not stuck cooking in the kitchen.

Smokey Cheddar Cheese Balls on Town House Sea Salt and Olive Oil Flatbread Crisps

Ingredients:

1 packet of Tastefully Simple Smokey Cheddar Cheese Ball Mix
8 oz. softened cream cheese
Town House Sea Salt and Olive Oil Flatbread Crisps

Directions:

Simply blend the Cheddar Cheese Ball Mix with the softened cream cheese and refrigerate for 2 hours. Serve with Town House Sea Salt and Olive Oil Flatbread Crisps. If you expect guests to roam as they snack, consider placing individual portions in small plastic cups.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip on Town House FlipSides Pretzel Crackers

I’m a huge artichoke dip fan and I love how super simple this recipe is. It’s the perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients:

1 packet of Tastefully Simple Artichoke and Spinach Warm Dip Mix
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese, divided
Town House FlipSides Pretzel Crackers

Directions:

Just combine the mix and the cream cheese, adding ½ cup of Swiss cheese. Heat in the microwave in 30 second intervals until warm and then top with remaining cheese. Heat an additional 30 seconds or until cheese is melted. Serve with Town House FlipSides Pretzel Crackers.

It is simply not a celebration without cake!

I love to bake, but if you don’t, just stop by your local bakery and ask for a two-layer flat buttercream iced cake. Edge your cake with candies. I used bright red sixlets from the candy store.
