Banana and Strawberry Trifle

This luscious dessert features layers of fresh strawberries and bananas, whipped-cream enriched pudding and Keebler® Vanilla Wafers.

Servings: 12

INGREDIENTS

3 Keebler® Vanilla Wafers Keebler® Vanilla Wafers
2 bananas, sliced, divided bananas, sliced, divided
2 sliced fresh strawberries, divided sliced fresh strawberries, divided
1/4 orange juice or light rum, divided orange juice or light rum, divided
3 cold milk cold milk
2 (4-serving size) vanilla flavor instant pudding & pie filling (4-serving size) vanilla flavor instant pudding & pie filling
1 whipping cream whipping cream

DIRECTIONS

1. Chill small mixing bowl and beaters of electric mixer.

2. In glass serving bowl sprinkle 1 cup of crumbs. Top with half of banana and half of strawberries. Sprinkle with half of the orange juice.

3. In large bowl beat milk and pudding mix with wire whisk for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.

4. Meanwhile in chilled bowl beat cream on medium speed of electric mixer until soft peaks form. Fold into pudding mixture. Spoon half of pudding mixture over fruit in bowl.

5. Top with half of remaining crumbs, remaining banana, remaining strawberries and remaining orange juice. Spoon remaining pudding mixture over fruit. Top with remaining crumbs.

6. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Garnish as desired. Store in refrigerator.

I almost passed this recipe up when I saw that it only had 3 stars thinking that people didn't like it. The only true recipe review is 5 stars! Is there anyway that all the one and two star comments regarding how to print this recipe be deleted so as not to miscue the actual recipe review? This brings the ratings down on a fantastic recipe! Sometimes when I have to just make a comment before trying the recipe (such as now) I always give it 5 stars.

is it 3 cups of cookie crumbs? That is a bit unclear. to copy the recipe highlight the text only then copy it (control C) , open up a word processing document & paste it (control V). this is using windows. then you can print it!
