Barbecued Stuffed Patties

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup Keebler® Zesta® Original crackers , (crushed
1/3 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons sliced green onion
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound lean ground beef
8 dill pickle slices

DIRECTIONS

1. In large bowl stir together crackers, barbecue sauce, onion and pepper. Add ground beef. Mix well. On wax paper shape into 8 thin patties about 3 1/2-inches in diameter.

2. Top four patties with pickle slices. Place remaining patties on top of pickle. Seal edges, completely enclosing pickle.

3. Grill directly over medium heat for 11 to 13 minutes or until no longer pink or until done (160 degrees F), turning once.

These are also known as Paul Bunyan Burgers. You put what ever you want on your burger in your burger between the two patties. Tomato, onion, mustard etc. Cheese can overmelt. You might want to add last on top or not. These can get big, so come hungry.
Sometimes I'll use smoked sausage but it is hard to keep lit.
