- HOW TO ENTER:
a) INTERNET: Beginning 1/1/2008 at 12:00:00 PM (ET) through 6/30/2008 at 11:59:59 PM (ET) (“Promotion Period”) go to www.snackpicks.com and complete the online registration. Registration is free. You will also need to enter a UPC code from any Famous Amos® products (3 oz. or larger) in order to enter the 2008 Famous Amos™ – Jerry Rice HBCU (“Historically Black Colleges and Universities”) Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”). For online No Purchase Necessary Method of Entry, use UPC code 76677 97998 in the online registration process. Once you have completed your registration, click “submit” to enter the sweepstakes.
b) MAIL-IN: You may also enter offline without a purchase by completing a tear-pad entry form found at a participating retailer; or by hand writing, on a plain 3”x 5” piece of paper, your name, address, age and daytime/evening phone numbers. Mail either form of entry in an envelope with sufficient postage affixed to: 2008 Famous Amos™ – Jerry Rice HBCU Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 185521, Battle Creek, MI 49018-5521. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by 6/30/2008 and received by 7/7/2008.
All entries become the property of Kellogg Company (“Sponsor”) and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, damaged, postage due or mutilated mail. No mechanically reproduced, altered, forged, or facsimile entries will be accepted. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of mailing address, email address, and/or telephone number of entrants. Limit of five (5) entries (regardless of method of submission) per person for the Promotion Period. In the event of a dispute, any Internet entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry, provided that person meets all eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entrants may not enter with multiple e-mail addresses. Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple e-mail addresses or under multiple identities, will be disqualified from participation in the sweepstakes and all entries from that individual will be considered void.
- ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees of Kellogg Company, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited.
- RANDOM DRAWING: Winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about 7/9/2008 from among all eligible entries received from all methods combined by Sponsor or its designee, the judges in this Sweepstakes, whose decisions are final and binding. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email at Sponsor’s discretion.
- PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV)/ODDS: One (1) Grand Prize - A trip for winner and three (3) guests to attend the State Farm Bayou Classic football game and event in November 2008 in New Orleans, LA (ARV $6,344.00). Prize includes round trip coach air transportation for winner and three (3) guests from major airport nearest winner’s home to New Orleans, LA (if winner lives within 250 miles of New Orleans, LA, air transportation portion of prize will not be awarded), 2-nights lodging with 2-rooms (based on double occupancy ea. room), $1,500 in spending money (winner only – to be used towards ground transportation and food), four (4) tickets to the Battle of the Bands and Greek Step Show (scheduled for 7 PM on Friday, 11/28/08), four (4) tickets to the State Farm Bayou Classic football game (scheduled for Saturday, 11/29/08), and a “meet and greet” for winner and his/her guest with Jerry Rice including autographed merchandise from Jerry Rice. Trip must be taken from 11/28/08 – 11/30/08 or prize will be forfeited in its entirety. Winner and guests must travel on same itinerary. In the event that any of the prize events including the Battle of the Bands and the Greek Step Show, the football game, and/or the “meet and greet” with Jerry Rice is cancelled, or postponed for any reason outside the control of the Sponsor, Sponsor will have no further obligation, other than to award the remainder of the prize. Tickets are subject to the terms and conditions associated with their use. Grand Prize does not include taxes, tips, gratuities, meals, service charges, hotel room service, laundry service, alcoholic beverages, merchandise, souvenirs, local and long distance telephone calls, airport charges, or any other service or item not specifically described above. Two hundred (200) First Prizes – A prize package consisting of one (1) “Historically Black” documentary DVD and one (1) 2007 Black College Football (BCFx) video game (ARV $59.98 ea. winner). Total ARV of all prizes $18,340.00. Odds of winning depend on total number of eligible entries received from all methods combined. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Limit one prize per person. Grand Prize winner will receive a 1099 tax form for the approximate retail value of the prize.
- GENERAL: Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where permitted by law, Publicity Release within ten (10) days after first notification attempt. Guests of Grand Prize winner (if a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) must sign and return a Liability/Publicity Release prior to awarding of prize. If prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected (for Grand Prize: provided there is sufficient time remaining before the event to award the prize). No correspondence will be acknowledged. No cash equivalents, substitutions or transfer of prize permitted except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that an offered prize is unavailable. Subject to all federal, state and local laws/regulations. Neither Sponsor, its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising, promotion agencies nor their employees will have any liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize or participation in the sweepstakes or any prize-related activities. Acceptance of a prize shall be construed as and signify the winners’ agreement and consent that Sponsor may use the winners’ names, voices, likenesses and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further consideration, review, approval or payment, where allowed by law. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer or in administration of the Sweepstakes.
- INTERNET: Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Internet portion of the Sweepstakes and select the winners by random drawing from among all eligible entries received from all methods combined up to the point of the action taken by the Sponsor. Caution: Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the game is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.
